5. What prerequisites must I meet to benefit from the CFE?

  • You must be eligible to the private healthcare or can be freiwillig versichert.
  • For an employee, you must earn a salary of at least 64 350 € Gross / year (2022 figure). Note that this figure changes from year to year.
  • You must be from nationality European. Please note that if you are of German nationality, you are not eligible.
  • You are from European nationality (except German) and your spouse to a other nationality (Outside the EU), then you're entitled to it!
  • Your employer must be agree to pay of the half contributions.
